Networking Tips:
-Ask people questions about their job, company, where they're from, etc. People love to talk about themselves.
-I'm a small talker, so sometimes I start off talking about the weather, the last K-State game, something interesting they're wearing, etc. Then as I get more comfortable I can ask more business related questions.
-Smile
-Shake hands
-The key to networking is getting out of your comfort zone and meeting people. You never know how your network can help you; maybe they have information or contacts that will help you out. Or maybe they'll be your new best friend. The possibilities are endless. Maybe you can help them out too.
-Bring business cards
-Afterward, add them to LinkedIn
-Set up a time to meet with them to learn more about them
