I switched from my normal Clinique concealer to Too Faced, Born This Way, Naturally Radient Concealer in the color cool medium. Cool medium is described as: "light medium w/ rosy undertones."
The concealer is the perfect thickness and cool medium is a great shade for me.
While getting that at Sephora, they suggested the Kat Von D, Lock-It Edge Concealer Brush. I'm not massively into make up and thus don't buy things unless I'm convinced they'll change my life. The sales ladies said it was super soft and would get right up to my eye. Let's be real; I love it! It really does get up to my eye and is super soft. I use it everyday.

Sephora: New Favorite Eyeliner
Over summer, while at the Kansas City Country Club Plaza, my friend and I went to Sephora. There, I saw and splurged on a Lancome Drama Linqui-Pencil long wear eyeliner in the color, Ampoule. It's a rich raspberry/cranberry color that's metallic. It says it's purple, but it really isn't. I've found myself reaching for it most days and have gotten some compliments on it. It's such a versatile, fun choice. I definitely recommend this as a cool new option to bring some color into your makeup routine!

Part 2: My Mini Vacay in Kansas City
For some reason, KC was pretty rainy for mid-June.
After getting restaurant suggestions from a friend, we checked out Char Bar. Totally loved that place! Had the weather of been nicer, I would've played their yard games. They're also pet-friendly, my friend's dog got a fresh bowl of water brought out for him. They're in the Westport area. Now the food...we shared their Charred Grits & Bits app with burnt ends and obviously, grits. So good with a little kick of spice.
My friend ordered and loved the CBGB Burger. I ordered Burnt Heaven. It was perfection with cole slaw and jalapeno straws. I thankfully had enough for leftovers the next day and it was just as good the second time. Their rosemary lemonade was really refreshing and tart.
We were definitely in BBQ Heaven at Char Bar and I'd recommend that place again and again.
We checked out the nearby Sephora and dropped a lot if cash there. Found some cute shirts at H&M.
What adventures!

Sephora Products on Review
I've really found some cool products at Sephora recently that I wanted to share with you.
Invisibobble
The major selling point is that they're traceless and don't leave marks on your hair. I was skeptical, but I slept with one in my hair with my half up. I woke up to creaseless hair that had beautiful volume.
First Aid Beauty, Ultra Repair Cream has helped my skin so much. My regular moisturizer wasn't able to touch the dryness of my skin. This winter was really windy, cold, and drying. This cream does the trick every time.
Sephora Collection, Baby Z Palette is a must have item for anyone who has odd and end eye shadows that you want to organize. I definitely think I'll be able to use my shadows more.
Origins GinZing™ Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff; I picked this product, since I was tired of just picking the same product, Clinique All About Eyes. Origins is around the same price point and I feel like it's worked really well!
It's fun to try new products and get out of your comfort zone!

KC, Part 2
The next morning after the game, we decided to check out a nearby Farmers Market. We love Farmer's Markets and go to the one here in Manhattan, Kansas roughly twice a month. We went to the Kansas City River Market in Kansas City, Missouri. It was huge! We tried Amish made pecan cinnamon rolls and they were terrific!
They had an Italian market, Carollo's Gourmet Grocery, Deli, and Grill with cannolis and I had to get some. I hadn't had a good cannoli since leaving Italy four years ago. While there, I also tried their sea salt chocolate caramel gelato. There aren't places like that in Manhattan, Kansas and I didn't want to miss out. So glad we stopped there.
From there we stopped at Sephora in the Plaza, so I could get a few things.
We headed back to the Legends area and are at Casa Agave. Their food was awful and that was the down part of our trip.
We did a little more shopping at Legends and headed home.
It was so nice to get away for a night with my mom. We had fun exploring KC!

Sephora, Part 2
I couldn't wait for Christmas to get more make up from Sephora. Here were the items on my list:
-I was dreaming of an eye liner in my favorite color and now I wear it all the time.
-I'd wanted the Buxom la-la-lavish eye shadow since my first Sephora experience in August, but they didn't have it at the time. They also call it an iridescent lavender. I love it and use it all the time. It's fun, yet something I can wear to work.
-I'd tried my friend's Tarte Skintuative gloss in August and thought it was super cool, despite being gooey. I ended up getting their tint. While I really think it's neat, it doesn't last long. For those who don't know, the color is unique to each wearer's "natural pH and energy." I like unique things. On me, it's normally a cherry color.
-Buxom's Patent Leather eye shadow stopped me in my tracks. It's super glittery a kind of sparkling blackberry, as they call it. I now kind of hate it; it gets everywhere, especially in the "fallout" zone. Maybe I'll change to mainly use this for evening looks.
I love having new make up to play with!

My First Real Sephora Experience
While on my vacation in Virginia, I had my first real experience with Sephora. I've always been intimidated by the store and make up in general. My friend that I was visiting is an eye makeup guru, so I got lots of help. The 15 minute Sephora eye shadow class was overwhelming for a girl who generally just wears concealer and foundation every day. On a good make up day I wore eye liner, curled my lashes, and put on lip glass. I had a lot to learn, but I wanted to get better at eye make up.
First off, I loved the Urban Decay eye shadow primer, Minor Sin. I seldom wore eye shadow because I didn't know what I was doing and I hated the crease in my eye shadow that always appeared before noon and made it looked like you hadn't even tried. Even though I'm cheap, I had to get the primer. I'm happy to report that 98% of the time it doesn't crease! Here's they looked they created for me. Next time, I'll go lighter on the liner wing.
My friend also helped me build a great palette of 6 eye shadows from Buxom: Posh Purple, Backstage Pass (darkish blue), Schmooze (tealish), Cool Cavier (a rich, medium gray), Pure Platinum (a fun sparkly silver), and Diamond Darling (a shimmer-y white). Every day of my vacation after my Sephora trip, my friend guided my through the world of eye shadow.
I finished off the trip with 2 Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Pencils in: Psychedelic Sister (a fun purple) and Sabbath (a medium blue). They are so smooth, I love them!
I'm definitely having a lot of fun experimenting with all my new items!
